Jamie Lee Curtis born on November 22nd, 1958 in Los Angeles, California, USA is a multi-faceted personality; an actress and an author. Jamie Lee won multiple awards for her acting skills that delighted millions of movie goers. In fact, she created a cult following of her own through her horror roles. Jamie Lee Curtis also authored several children's books and became a most popular writer of children.

Jamie Lee Curtis was born to iconic actor-couple Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis. Jamie Lee Curtis has an older sister, actress Kelly Curtis. Her parents divorced when she was four years old. Jamie Lee has four half-siblings from her father's remarriages. Jamie Lee and her sister were both raised by her mother and stepfather Robert Brandt. Jamie Curtis attended Westlake School in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills High School and graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall. Having decided to major in social work, Jamie Lee enrolled herself at University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, but quit midway after a semester to plunge into acting.

Jamie Lee Curtis began her acting career in 1975 with a minor role in direct-to-video-film "Columbo: Forgotten Lady". She has since appeared in several single television episodic dramas and made-for-television-films playing small roles until 1978, in which year Jamie Lee Curtis got a breakthrough role of Laura Strode in a horror film "Halloween". Later a string of horror films followed such as "The Fog", "Prom Night", and "Terror Train" {all released in 1980} and soon Jamie Lee came to be known as the 'Scream Queen'.
